A woman was arrested by police in Texas after it was learned that she brought a gun to a fight between her daughter and another teenager.
KHOU reports that 14-year-old Victoria Meyers showed up to fight another girl (over a boy because, maturity, obviously) behind Pasadena High School on Tuesday. The other girl was present with her mom—who was armed with a gun. Meyers told KHOU that she didn’t even know that 33-year-old Viridiana Alvarez had pulled a gun from her purse and pointed it at her head until she saw video footage of the fight later on.
According to KHOU, Alvarez insists that the gun wasn’t loaded, maintaining that she only brought it to scare Meyers. (Isn’t someone—her, possibly—supposed to be the adult here?) She faces aggravated assault charges, while both her daughter and Meyers were suspended from school until Monday.
