NBA Players Want the League to “OK” Medical Weed

As of April 17, 2015, there are 23 states, as well as the District of Columbia, that have legalized marijuana for recreational and/or medical purposes. Still, NBA players caught violating the anti-drug policy (i.e. positive test for weed) are subject to a five-game suspension for their first offense and a mandatory entrance into league’s substance abuse program. According to TMZ Sports, players not only want to see the rule changed, but they want the league to legalize the use of medicinal marijuana.
